I have been toying with the idea of getting Omnisphere for a while.

Aug 15, 2018  Keyscape or Omnisphere 2? If you had to pick just one, which would it be and why? Unfortunately I already had the full suite of Ableton Live 10. I saw that there is an option to transfer the license on the Ableton website, and I was wondering if it was possible to sell one of my licenses, and what is the way to do it. Dec 25, 2018  Ableton: Push 2 with Live 10 Suite Bundle. This instrument/product is really unbelievable. There is so much you can do with this it wouldn't do justice trying to. I use Omnisphere quote a bit in my work, especially for pads and evolving ambient soundscapes etc., but I'm looking for something new. I already own Alchemy and Komplete 9 (might upgrade to 10), but I always find myself coming back to Omnisphere. At the moment I am pretty much using the core Live packs and sounds, with very little in the way of external VST synths. For workflow reasons, I am hardly even using my Virus any more (it's just too much hassle to record something, and not to be able to tweak it later..yes, call me a lazy sod ) I have heard good things about Omnisphere.
But I have two reservations. Firstly, I tend to view my own acquisitiveness with a skeptical eye. I think one should be able to make great music with the existing Live machines, and that the notion that another synth is what I really need to get my creativity into another level.
Secondly, I wonder about the impact of Omnisphere on CPU usage. I have heard that it can be quite heavy on processors, and I would not want Live glitching or maxing out with only a few instances of OS running.
So I would like to know from the Omnisphere users. Firstly, is it all it is cracked up to be? Would your, umm, sound pallette suffer if it was taken away? Is it a piece of software you can't do without, or is it a nice to have?
Secondly, will it make steam rise out of my PC's tower case? Will the legs of my trestle table buckle? Will Live's CPU meter shoot into the high 80s and beyond if I so much as touch a key?
