---Actually I'd have to disagree with that statement. Most licencing agreements for pro software do not allow you to run the same software on more than one machine at a time, but a few do allow it on two machines. Usually one licence= one machine at a time. My 12 iLok licences and 8 Syncrosoft licences are proof of that

---Yes, it does hold your licence(s), and the software requires that licence to run, so yes the software is 'tied' to the dongle.

----Actually, I think what was intended was that you can sometimes buy an 'additional' licence for around that price or more. But one's current licence for current software is on the iLok, so it's important to protect your dongle at all times. If the dongle ever fails, companies have different policies, but most will help you if indeed the dongle itself is faulty. However, if the dongle is lost or stolen, in many instances you'll need to buy a new licence. That's why some folks have obtained insurance when possible..............playz
