Mixxx Connecting To Shoutcast Server With Multiple Streams

IPad Mini adds Apple Pencil support, but no Smart KeyboardWith the release of the iPad Mini 5, all of Apple’s current line of iPads support the Apple Pencil: an excellent stylus for drawing, writing or marking up documents.Now, somewhat confusingly, the Apple Pencil supported here isn’t the same as the one released in 2018; it’s the first-gen device. You know, the one that charges by plugging directly into the Lightning port and with the cap that you’ll spend much of your life searching for. This is such a strange dynamic and will be very confusing for those looking to buy an iPad and Apple Pencil. Not Apple’s best design decisionStill, the Apple Pencil is a great addition, and even though it isn’t included – you’ll be shelling out an extra $99/£89 – I’d suggest at least thinking about adding one into the package. The Shoutcast DNAS server since the introduction of v2.0 has been able to provide multiple streams from a single DNAS server instance. To be able to do this, it has required the source for the stream to be a relay (pulling a copy of the stream from another server) or by using Shoutcast 2 protocol compatible source client software (where you specify the stream number to connect to as part of. Jan 04, 2017  Today, we broadcast to our IceCast Server using Mixxx! This is super easy, especially if you already set up the IceCast server from the previous video.

you don't change the server configuration in any way.
in mixxx, you use the same host and port that worked with winamp. for the password, use the legacy password (actually, but not to confuse things, streampassword_1 and/or password as set in the dnas can also be used, as they imply sid 1).
if you look at the dnas admin source connection details page, stream (sid) 1 may not show a legacy password, even though it can be used.
so, try both, look at the dnas log on the dnas admin page for help.. if you get the host and port right, the log will show a failed source connection attempt. if you don't see the source connection attempt from mixx, most likely you have the host part wrong.
also, stay away from localhost, use 127.0.0.1 whenever you are talking to the dnas from the same box. it'll save you some headaches.
if you still have problems, it's possible that your server config or your firewall is not allowing v1 connections to your server -- it goes like this.. a v2 source connects to the server on portbase (8000 for you).. the v2 server also listens on portbase+1 (8001) for v1 sources like mixxx --- that means for your dnas to allow v1 sources to connect, you have to open port 8001 in addition to 8000 in your firewall (and in your router if you want to allow a remote source).

Cheap Shoutcast Server

Hey I am in need of a bit of help, just a few general questions..
I run a shoutcast server in debian x32, it is running sc_serv 1 and sc_trans 1 (usually autodj type of stream, but do like to tap in live as well)
I run multiple streams so I run one sc_trans process and 4 sc_serv processes at multiple bitrates (all the same stream, multiple ports)
320k = port 8000
256k = port 9000
128k = port 7000
64k = port 7575
I am trying to go to the new sc_serv 2.2.1
I setup sc_serv 2 and set it for 4 streams
my 320k stream on port 8000 connected as that is the default, it is working well.. the other ports do not connect.. from my understanding the new scserv lets you run on multiple ports or a single port
I have tried editing my config so the streams would go on multiple ports
portbase_1=8000
portbase_2=9000
portbase_3=7000
portbase_4=7575
but it still does not connect, from what I have read there is some type of limitation on going from sc_trans 1 to sc_serv 2 that it only allows one v1 stream.. am I correct on this? or am I configuring it wrong?
I do not want to go to sc_trans 2 because the last time I did that it would crash constantly because of werid filenames, some bug on linux.. I have looked and it seems that it has not been updated since then and appears dead.. some people have moved onto liquidsoap from what i read, but im not sure if that will do what I need it to do and it looks a bit more complex (yet I have not tried it).. I am a basic linux user.. not a expert but do know my way around and do have support from others who are more advanced then me.. I just wonder if anybody could point me in the right direction on this issue
because basically I want sc_serv 2.2.1 and I want multiple bitrates of the same stream coming from a autodj.. I also like that when i tap into the dj port on sc_trans that it sends it across all my streams
right now I have my 320 running sc2 and the other streams running on sc1 till I can figure this out.
Thank you for your time! I love Shoutcast & Winamp have used it since the start.
